Every year we commission two young artists to collaborate on creating a short piece that responds to place.
Mentored by our inhouse team, the brief invites two school leavers to shake off the shackles of exams and to let their imaginations run wild.
The final pieces can be in any medium.

2026 - This year’s piece is a song called “Heat’s got a Hold” which was written, performed, recorded and produced by young musicians Isaac Scot and Sofia May in response to a train journey to Italy last August.
