this term’s plays

seven methods of killing kylie jenner - Jasmine Lee Jon

After a young, black woman takes to social media to voice her frustration at cultural appropriation, the scrutiny comes back on her, throwing her real-life relationships into jeopardy.

Blood Wedding (Three Tragedies) - Federico Garcia Lorca

After an arranged wedding, the Bride flees with her past lover. The Groom and all the town pursue the couple into the forest where death personified awaits them.

Blood Wedding is first of Lorca’s tragedies that utilise Andalusian folk tales, surrealism & classical performance to reflect 1930’s rural Spain.

Frankenstein - Nick Dear

This play came to prominence in 2011 when it was performed & broadcast from the National Theatre, with Benedict Cumberbatch & Jonny Lee Miller taking and alternating between the lead roles of Victor Frankenstein & the Creature.

The Herd - Rory Kinnear

Much like everything else in her life, the 21st birthday party Carol is throwing for her son is not turning out as planned. The first play by accomplished actor Kinnear, The Herd is a witty & heartfelt look at how families come together and pull apart under stresses, particularly the care of a member with additional needs.
