The Word on the Street
A theatrical adventure through the city of Hereford - audiences embark on a journey to uncover a series of true tales written by members of The Writing Room.
About the work
The Word on the Street is our annual project giving members of The Writing Room the opportunity to create a new series of short performances based upon real life experiences and events in Hereford, to be delivered by a cast of community and professional actors.
Audiences gather at a given starting point and set off following a specially designed map detailing their route through the city. As they walk, performances unfold in unexpected places as the lines blur between everyday life and theatrical events.
The Word On The Street has been produced in collaboration with The Courtyard and is made possible with funding from the Herefordshire Community Foundation and Hereford City Council
