Dine In The Dark
A dining experience like no other. Blindfolds and food supplied!
About the work
In collaboration with The Courtyard’s catering department and the in house staff, Feral was invited to combine the immersive, multisensory Follow Me project with a three course dinner, presented in complete darkness in The Studio Theatre to sold out audiences.
How we made it
At The Courtyard’s very first Dine in the Dark event, guests were led blindfolded into a darkened Studio Theatre. Once served, guests were be able to remove their blindfolds and taste their tantalising three course meal in complete darkness, relying purely on their sense of smell, touch and taste to guess what they were eating. Main meals were be served with a glass of wine, paired perfectly with the secret dishes.
To add more sensory fun to the evening there was be an exciting, immersive performance by Feral Productions in between courses. Based on Feral’s production of Follow Me, three actors enhanced guests’ experiences through smell, taste and touch.
